Commercial Metal roofing project
Architectural Roofing Services, a head contractor, undertook heritage metal roof repair heritage roof restoration installing new metal box gutter, metal roof sheeting and metal downpipes in, Sussex Street, Sydney NSW 2000 .

Scope of work
Architectural Roofing Services, undertook heritage roofing works including metal roof repair work at prominent Sydney CBD, NSW location to address flooding of an internal building during heavy rainstorms.
Architectural Roofing Services, provided roof consultancy service alongside hydraulic engineer to install new large metal sump box in box gutter system.
Firstly, these works included undertaking of roof repair works to access metal roof ,
1. Install new metal sump box into position
2. Connect 150mm stormwater pipe with two outlets
3. install pipe down through building levels.
The 150mm stormwater pipe then installed by core drilling each floor level to access the basement and make a connection to storm water underground service.
Throughout each level, we installed fire collars to concrete ceilings and allowed for inspection openings for any future access. The 150mm PVC pipe connecting metal sump box and reconnecting back to metal box guttering.
Additional works involved installing metal roof sheeting, new metal rain head and new metal downpipes on the external part of the building to discharge water to lower metal box guttering and fix roof leaks where box gutters had flooded due to poor design.
We further installed new metal box gutters, roof flashing and repaired other main section of heritage metal roofs including cleaning box gutters, sealing flashing’s and fix leaking Velux windows.
Some roof areas were treated with membrane sealer which included primer coat, bandaging two coats of external metal waterproofing to repair roofs and roof flashing leaks.
